ちらし丼とミニ麺セット
Shopping date with Dear at Cityhall/Bugis area =)
Dear recommended a restaurant at Millennia Walk that serves delicious Ramen, but Nic dear was so blur that we routed back to Raffles City when we took the CityLink Mall underpass. So we ended up at Watami for lunch. Sadly, I forgot to charge my camera the previous night, so... only one photo for the day. =X

They are having a lunch set promotion hence I ordered ちらし丼とミニ麺セット and it is far beyond my expectation! The set comes with a salad, a drink and a selection of either Hot Udon or Hot Soba. Took the Hot Udon cause I had enough of Soba at home =P Was anticipating a half-size or even a quarter-sized Udon which most restaurant do when they give complimentary things in a promotion. Quoting my Mum, "几条面在碗里游泳". BUT NO! The serving size is comparable to a packet of Udon sold in NTUC. Not to mention the soup stock was full of flavours as it was boiled with 鰹節, similar to Chinese's Double-boiled Chicken Soup. Drinking the soup was akin to eating the flakes without any condiments. TOTALLY REFRESHING!

The ingredients in the ちらし丼 is a mixture of diced-salmon, 卵, えびこ, 章魚, 帆立貝 and 鰻. The 刺身 are extremely fresh and succulent!! Normally, I dislike eating 帆立貝刺身 cause most of those that I tried has a taste to it and I can't stand the slimy texture, which is weird since I can take ladyfinger which is also slimy =P So, I conclude it is the taste that I dislike most! XP Anyway, Watami's 帆立貝刺身 is so fresh that it feels like you are eating it out of the sea with a hint of a salt.

Lunch was extremely fulfilling. The portion and tastes makes the price worthwhile, and I am sure to return other menu items. P.S. when I'm richer =P going broke cause I've been eating a little too much recently. Anyway, I got myself a Laced-dress which I've been eyeing... still looking for a pair of shoes to replace those that have worn out.
