Blue Peavine Tasteless... *BLEH!* Used for its colouring-effect only. Dumbcane The much missed plant... not seen since I left Primary School. Leaves of Drumstick Tree Said to be an extremely useful tree where nearly all parts can be eaten - leaves, pods and roots. Seeds from the mature pods are powdered and used to purify water. Our tour guide mentioned that the leaves of the drumstick tree are very nutritious and beneficial to our health as compared to any other vegetable. A great source of Vitamin A and Vitamin B, and when raw, Vitamin C. Calcium content is relatively high, so is the content of Iron and Protein, in addition, low fat and carbohydrates content. The guide mentioned that poor pregnant women used to consume 5 single leaves in the olden days and is able to provide all the nutrients required!! Snakeweed Another much missed plant since Primary School days... I can still remember the day that we planted it, and those days that we watered and cared for it during our recess break... =) Hibiscus - National flower of Malaysia & South Korea... (thou the breed differs) Hibiscus, tiare, and frangipani, when worn by the Tahitian ladies sends a signal: ♥ Worn tucked behind the left ear, it means the wearer is taken ♥ Worn tucked behind the right ear, it means the wearer is available ♥ Waved behind the head, it means "follow me" Remember to get it right when you're visiting Hawaii (✿◠‿◠) Figs The guide said it is a male fig tree, so the fig is not nice tasting at all =X Can't remember the name of this plant, but I remember it is extremely poisonous! Consuming 4-5 of the fruits can kill a person almost immediately, and so is the fruits when embed into a person flesh... The thorns on the fruit is daunting enough! to even approach it, let allow eat it. Also, the taste of the fruit is too awful to even consumer more than one. Rice Plant Fancy growing your own staple food?! I would love to!! Self-sufficient & not subjected to the raising cost of living =X Dill Though I've got it planted at home... I have yet to try its flavour =P I'm in love with this photo - loves the angle, the colour and everything about it! The sugar cane maze we had to walk through, and hear all the screeching coming from the girls. HAHA! Another personal favourite - Flower of "I don't remember what" Alone I stand, Tall & Sturdy Alone I am, without fear... Noni Fruit Seriously, the drink is nice and tasty, but who knows that when crushed, it emits the smell of puke!! YES!! PUKE!! *vomits* One last personal favourite - Fruit of a Banana A crazy banana lover I am =D FINALLY!! Ta-dah~! Our slightly crazy guide with a banana flower ^.^ Crazily, I though this would be a good landscape to take wedding photos... HAHA!! Crazy gal with a crazy brain spinning crazy ideas XP |
