An original Korean romantic comedy television drama series aired in 2009, starring Park Shin-hye, Jang Keun-suk, Jung Yong-hwa of CN Blue and Lee Hong-ki of F.T. Island. The story revolved around a fictional boy band named A.N.JELL, and the complicated relationship between its members when a nun-in-training has to pose as her twin brother and take his place in the group.

It was later remake in 2011, by the Japanese, starring Miori Takimoto [瀧本美織], Yuta Tamamori [玉森裕太] and Taisuke Fujigaya [藤ヶ谷太輔] from Kis-My-Ft2, and Hikaru Yaotome [八乙女光] from Hey!Say! JUMP.
The story line remains the same but the plot differs, although some still being brought over.


Honestly speaking, I caught the Japanese version before the original, and perhaps it is due to first impression... I tend to like the remake more even though I am still in the midst of completing the original. I loved some of the characters included in the remake, such as Nana's stylist - Toru, and several other guests cameo, though brief, adds spice to the series. And I loved the outfits for the scene of the photoshoot, where shortly after, Mi Nyu was exposed to the reporter. But I really missed the part when Shu was there to help cover Miko's exposure and leave with her... Aww~~ that scene was particularly touching!!
But nevertheless, both version are equally nice and has aspects that I loved.
Overall, I would say the remake is more modern chic, while the original is more extravaganza~~ ＼(▽￣＼(￣▽￣)／￣▽)／



Jang Keun Suk as Hwang Tae Kyung VS. Yuta Tamamori as Ren Katsuragi
Although the same character, yet portrayed differently.
Tae Kyung is rich and arrogant, yet gentle and caring at times, while Ren Katsuragi expresses some cuteness and innocence within, possibly due to the age difference between both actors. But both of them are very successful in getting on my nerves throughout the series! which makes them successful, I guess. Since my mum always say, "If they get make you love/hate them that much due to the roles they are playing, then they are successful in the portrayal of the character."
P.S. I really dislike the thick eyeliner that Jang Keun Suk wears. No offense meant, but he is kinda of "pretty" and thick eyeliners destroy the image. =X


Park Shin-hye as Go Mi Nam/Go Mi Nyu VS. Miori Takimoto as Mio/Miko Sakuraba
Not much I can say about the both of them, since they are both very much lovable. They are sooooooo cuttee~!


Jung Yong-hwa as Kang Shin Woo VS. Taisuke Fujigaya as Shu Fujishiro
Regardless of the actor, I'm falling head over heels for the character!! 優しいね～ They both got me crying at their unrequited love for Mi Nyu/Miko, and how I hate the scene when she was put up by Tae Kyung/Ren after her visit with Mother Superior, and she was so close to seeing Shin Woo/Shu, yet a phone call destroyed everything. 。・°°・(>_<)・°°・ 오빠~ 괜찮아 I will be here for you. がんばって! Fighting~! P.S. I would really love to see them get together! Oh the sparks... (≧ε≦○)chu♪
Lee Hongki as Jeremy VS. Hikaru Yaotome as Yuuki Hongo
Both are equally loved by me!! After watching the remake, watching the first few episodes of the original makes me think that Jeremy is a little too "normal" and I feel weird about it. But Jeremy starts getting into the "mood" after Mi Nam was exposed as Mi Nyu, and I started liking him more and more.
Can't resist the cuteness and innocence of them both!


UEE as Yoo He Yi VS. Kojima Haruna as NANA
Yoo He Yi is like some spoilt, rich, arrogant kid who wants things to go her way just because she willed it to, if not she will get totally upset and destructive, while Nana seems like someone who desperately seeks attention, perhaps because she was deprived of it when young, hence will go all out for it, yet 可愛い in her own ways. It is similar to a kid who has been neglected by the parents and resort to extreme, willful methods in order to achieve it, such as stealing, fighting, etc.
Overall, I can forgive Nana for her acts, but not Yoo He Yi's. I guess, the impression rooted deeply after her sarcastic comments to the accompanying dancers for blocking her unknowingly, as well as being taller than her, etc. Still, kudos to UEE for her acting skills since she really gets me hating her, A LOT!




Anyway... there's a Taiwan version remake this year. Let's see if I will get down to watching it over again =P
