Back in the states when I bought a cake of Urban Decay's eyeshadow from Sephora, I was given a sample of LANCÔME's La vie est belle, which I did not bother to check out until recently.
“La vie est belle”, a French expression meaning “Life is beautiful”; the manifesto of a new era. It represents a choice; the choice to break free from convention, the choice to create your own path to happiness. The choice to live one’s life and fill it with beauty. Your own way. La vie est belle introduces a new olfactive story, the first ever iris gourmand. The juice is made with the most precious natural ingredients, a modern interpretation of an oriental fragrance with a twist of gourmand. It entwines the elegance of iris with the strength of Patchouli and the sweetness of a gourmand blend; for an incredible scent with depth and complexity. And so, I decided to check out the prices, and happened to chance upon it in Sephora. But while I was checking out other fragrances, I found another new love - Repetto, the perfume. Graceful and sensual, the floral woody musky fragrance opens with a sparkling burst of Pear, for an exquisite note, and cherry blossom, like a cloud of powder. The floral heart reveals ultimate grace with an infinite satin rose and the feminine sensuality of orange blossom. The Ballet closes with a powdery amber finale, joining the dance through ambery woods and vanilla. After trying it out, I feel that it is more suited for me due to its subtle and delicate notes compared to that of LANCÔME's La vie est belle. The notes of LANCÔME is somewhat too strong for me, and more suited for a matured lady who is out to kill. =P And so... my eyes are set on Repetto, who reminds me of the days when I'm still dancing. And hopefully, I will get back into the arms of dance... |
